This painting is of an endangered Loggerhead turtle, painted in enamel on a retired sail. They are beautiful to watch swimming. I draw a parallel to when I’ve gone scuba diving and how it feels like flying when you are at neutral buoyancy. Watching a turtle swim is like watching a blimp or plane just gliding along, awe-inspiring!
