In honor of my dear friend Tim Knight that passed away June 11, 2024.
We met while both working at Harley -Davidson many years ago. Always a positive attitude and fun to be around. His chemical engineering background and can-do attitude, working in manufacturing in the paint plants helped H-D to be the leader of customer paint, in high volume. Things like denim paint, leafing aluminum( 100th anniversary), gold leaf, metal flake, and metal grind were a few of the things that the competition used us as the benchmark of what was possible.
Even greater than these accomplishments is the wonderful family of five children and two grand kids he and his wife Michelle raised. Relationships were important to Tim, and he could talk your arm off with his many stories, curiosity, and love of adventure. He had a unique perspective on life that he often summed up in a statement to whatever topic you were discussing.
One of them that he used often whether the situation had a chance for negative or positive outcome, “it’s all good”. He had a sense of adventure , truly loved life, the people around him, and did his best to encourage us to do the same. Although Tim is no longer around to encourage us, he is in our hearts- it’s all good!
