I Must Be Strong – Eric Clapton

Enamel
Aluminum Panel
Framed
32″ x 73″

One of my all-time favorite musicians, singers, and songwriters – Eric Clapton. You see the heartfelt loss in Eric’s face as he singings “Tears in Heaven”, a deeply personal song he wrote after the tragic loss of his 4yr old son Coner in 1991.

I painted this in enamel with a palette knife. This painting style really contributed to a visual rawness, adding to the visceral experience of this piece.
